Hi, I'm Michelle Bushby, also known as Mich from Mich Interiors. Welcome to our website and our new online store.

My journey in the homewares and interiors space began in the 1990s when my three sons were just babies. As a Decorative Artist, I hand-painted Folk Art homewares and quickly developed a successful party plan business. My passion and dedication led me to the Gift & Homewares Fair in Melbourne, where I began selling homewares. The demand for my products grew rapidly, and in 1999, I relocated to the Gold Coast to expand my business.

In Queensland, I noticed a shift in decorating preferences and started selling real estate with Ray White Surfers Paradise, gaining valuable insights into the coastal home styles that define the area. In 2014, I opened my first retail store, "Home Sweet Home - Gifts & Homewares," in James Street, Burleigh Heads. Here, I offered hand-painted furniture, artwork, homewares, and gifts, and even held Chalk Painting Classes, which became a hit with both locals and visitors.

After relocating to Bathurst in 2020, I felt the call to return to the Gold Coast and start anew. In August 2023, I opened Mich Interiors at the Brickworks in Southport. Our larger space now features a curated selection of furniture, lighting, homewares, soft furnishings, rugs, wall art, gifts, and fashion.
